A Heavyweight matchup between Fedor Emelianenko and Rampage Jackson is set for Bellator Japan. The event is scheduled to take place on December 29 at the Saitama Super Arena.
It will be Bellator’s debut show in Japan and they will bring out the old guns from Pride FC for the occasion. Fedor Emelianenko was last seen making it to the finals of the Bellator World Heavyweight Grand Prix. After defeating Frank Mir and Chael Sonnen, he lost to Ryan Bader in the finals.
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson also took part in the Bellator World Heavyweight Grand Prix but lost in the first round to Chael Sonnen. He since rebounded from that loss by defeating Wanderlei Silva by 2nd round TKO.
This event in Japan will continue the working relationship between Bellator and Rizin FF. In fact, three matchups on the card will feature a Bellator fighter against a Rizin fighter. Fighters like Kyoji Horiguchi and Patricky Freire are amongst those who have been fighting for both Bellator and Rizin recently.
The Bellator Japan card will take place on December 29 at the Saitama Super Arena. The Fedor vs Rampage matchup will act as the headliner for the event.
