BFL adds Isaac Blais vs Gio Platon to huge Feb 8 event

A huge Bantamweight matchup has been added to the BFL 65 card on February 8. In fact, top-prospect Isaac Blais is headed to Vancouver to face amateur champion Gerico “Gio” Platon.

Blais will make his way to the West along with his Patenaude training partner Julien Leblanc. He will get to fight against Platon after having many fights cancelled in late 2019. We most recently saw him at TKO 48 in his hometown where he defeated fellow prospect P-O Bouffard by first round Rear-Naked Choke. Blais will try to start the night off right for Patenaude Martial Arts as Leblanc will fight for the 175lbs title against champion Dejan Kajic in the main event.

Gio Platon will make his pro MMA debut against Blais on February 8. The prospect from Checkmat Vancouver collected a 3-1 record for BFL MMA as an amateur. He is also an amateur champion for BFL, winning the belt then defending it once. He will make the jump to pro as one of the most hyped prospect in Western Canada.

This huge prospect fight is the latest addition to an already stacked event for Battlefield Fight League. There will be 4 title fights on the card and 3 pro MMA fights along with an amateur portion and even kickboxing matches.

Two other Quebecers are set to fight on the card. As previously mentionned, Julien Leblanc takes on Dejan Kajic for the 175lbs title and Jade Masson-Wong fights Jamey-Lyn Horth-Wessels in a huge women’s title match. The BFL 65 event takes place in Vancouver, BC on February 8, 2020.
