Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza will move up to 205 in a fight vs Jan Blachowicz. The contest will main event the UFC Sao Paulo card on November 16, according to a report by ESPN.
According to Brett Okamoto, it’s Dana White himself who confirmed the booking. Souza will make his way to the Light Heavyweight division after 13 UFC fights at 185lbs. After winning his 5 first fights in the promotion, Souza has pretty much been win one loose one since then. He recently loss a decision to Jack Hermansson at UFC Fort Lauderdale.
Jan Blachowicz has been on an inverse trajectory since his UFC debut. The Polish fighter began his UFC career with a 2-4 record but has turned things around since then. He has now won 5 of his 6 last fights, becoming a top ranked contender in the process. He was last seen defeating Luke Rockhold by second round KO in his Light Heavyweight debut.
The Jacare vs Blachowicz fight will be the main event of the UFC on ESPN+ 22 card. The event takes place on November 16 at the Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
