Gillian Robertson gets the quick turnaround she asked for as she will fight against Maycee Barber at UFC on ESPN 6. ESPN confirmed that the Women’s Flyweight fight was targeted for the October 18 card in Boston.
Gillian Robertson just defeated BJJ black belt Sarah Frota by TKO on the UFC 240 card last saturday. That improved her UFC record to 4-1 as she is on a 2 fight winning streak. Her lone UFC loss came against Mayra Bueno Silva in September of 2018.
Maycee Barber is perfect in 7 MMA fights. She was first discovered on the 2018 season of Dana White’s Contender Series. She made her UFC debut against Hannah Cifers at 115lbs but missed weight for the contest. She moved up to Flyweight for her second bout where she defeated JJ Aldrich by TKO.
Both ladies are considered as top prospects in their division as Barber is ranked number 1 on MMA Talk’s Women’s Flyweight Prospect Rankings. Gillian Robertson comes in at number 7 after her recent win.
They will now compete at UFC on ESPN 6 in Boston on October 18 in a fight that could produce a new top 15 fighter in the Women’s Flyweight division.
